55 Gallon Heavy Duty Drum Mixer, 1/4 HP TEFC Direct Drive, Clamp Mount, 36″ Shaft, 1725 RPM (Series 400)

This is a Series 400 heavy-duty c-clamp 1/4 HP totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) direct drive mixer with a .63″ Dia. x 36″ L mixing shaft. This durable mixer has dual 3″ blades and a 1725 mixer shaft RPM. The measured blade length is the blade’s diameter when extended during operation. Series 400 mixers are heavy-duty mixers with ball and socket type c-clamps to allow for precise positioning of the mixer shaft on open top tanks and open top 55 gallon drums. These mixers also include a shaft support bearing to help reduce wear on the motor making these mixers long-lasting compared to economy alternatives.

Direct drive mixers run at high speed and use relatively small blades making them suitable for smaller batch sizes such as 55 gallon drums and lower viscosity products as the mixer shaft couples directly to the motor. The TEFC motor offers increased protection against dirt and moisture compared to open electric motors as it does not allow outside air to circulate freely throughout the interior of the motor. The fan aids in the cooling process to help ensure the motor does not overheat.

This 55 gallon drum mixer is durable and portable for a variety of industrial applications including mixing resins, dyes, washes, compounds, etc. The Coupling, shaft and mixing impellers are made with stainless steel. This mixer is also available with an optional saddle plate for more permanent mounting.
